How it all began.

Before coaching others online, I worked as an addictions youth worker, often pulling 8 - 16 hour long shifts. At the same time, I was coaching group cycling classes, and functional fitness — sometimes teaching two classes right after a 16 hour shift.

I pushed it.

No real rest.

No balance.

Just focused on filling my days with work.

Even though I had played rugby for 14 years and attended a rugby league world cup as an athlete for Team Canada, I still found myself completely burned out, despite the years of training, discipline, and healthy nutrition awareness.

My body was gradually changing.

My motivation disappearing.

I felt heavier, exhausted, and disconnected from myself.

I was irritable, my brain was foggy, and I became overwhelmed with my schedule. I couldn't show up fully for those around me.

And that’s when I realized something important:

You can know what to do… but if you’re overworked, stressed, and constantly giving to others, your own health will eventually suffer.

...so I shifted my approach

I paused coaching at both studios, reduced my youth work hours and slowed down.

...and, can you believe it? I even lost weight despite being less physically active.

My body was no longer running on stress hormones and was able to reduce inflammation and recover properly.

I rebuilt my habits, and began following a more balance approach to work, life and rest.

Now, I help others who feel the same way — especially people who spend all day caring for everyone else but themselves.

My approach is holistic, supportive, and realistic.

No extremes.

Just simple steps that help you feel better in your body, increase your energy, and create a healthier, more balanced and joyful life.
